Three days training of trainers on trauma healing and counseling at the Kukah centre in Kaduna state in the north of Nigeria was conducted for twenty participants. Kidnappings often including torture has lately affected the area, leaving many traumatized. Our long time friends the international mediators Imam Ashafa and Pastor James reached out to us.
After participants left with enthusiasm to deploy to their various communities to begin the healing process and engage the survivors using the various model of trauma healing: tapping techniques from the secular, or physiological approach, and religious approach which makes use of the Christian and Muslim Holy Books.

Ritual Performance of Forgiveness and Healing.
O-Trauma Victims Initiative is an organization with dedicated and passionate professionals whose major aim is to support and rehabilitate not just victims of banditry attacks but individuals who suffer from trauma challenges to gain access to care, livelihood, healing process of forgiveness to rebuild their lives as individuals and as a community around northwest and other parts of Nigeria respectively. The organization collaborates with religious leaders alongside stakeholders locally and internationally. OTVI used such collaboration in training local volunteers and counselors from various institutions and communities.
The last Wednesday of each month we usually do an online training where you can learn the basics of the techniques and get mentoring.
